  IF Staining of A549 using 82115-2-RR (same clone as 82115-2-PBS)

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed A549 cells using SLC7A11 antibody (82115-2-RR, Clone: 230227C5 ) at dilution of 1:250 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2).   1x10^6 HeLa cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human SLC7A11 (82115-2-RR, Clone:230227C5) and APC-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (red), or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG control Rabbit PolyAb (30000-0-AP) (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 82115-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

SLC7A11 (also known as xCT) is a membrane transporter involved in the uptake of cystine. It promotes glutathione synthesis through the uptake of cystine and the concomitant release of glutamate. This, in turn, protects cells from oxidative stress, maintains cellular redox balance, and prevents cell death induced by lipid peroxidation. SLC7A11 has been identified as a potential target for cancer therapeutics. It is overexpressed in multiple malignant tumors and is closely associated with the growth, prognosis, metastasis, and treatment response of various cancers including lung cancer.
