  WB analysis using 30707-1-AP (same clone as 30707-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 30707-1-AP (SMC2 antibody) at dilution of 1:2000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 30707-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  WB analysis of HeLa using 30707-1-AP (same clone as 30707-1-PBS)

  WB result of SMC2 antibody (30707-1-AP; 1:2000; incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours) with sh-Control and sh-SMC2 transfected HeLa cells. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 30707-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

SMC2 is a central component of the condensin complex, a complex required for conversion of interphase chromatin into mitotic-like condense chromosomes. The condensin complex probably introduces positive supercoils into relaxed DNA in the presence of type I topoisomerases and converts nicked DNA into positive knotted forms in the presence of type II topoisomerases (PMID: 11136719).
