Sorting nexin 8 (SNX8) is a member of the sorting nexin family. Members of the sorting nexin family contain a phox (PX) domain, which is a phosphoinositide binding domain, and are involved in intracellular trafficking. SNX8 plays a role in the endosome-to-Golgi transport (PMID: 19782049). SNX8 can be used as a potential target for treating lysosomal storage disorder (PMID: 38519472).
