  IF Staining of HEK-293 using 81156-1-RR (same clone as 81156-1-PBS)

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (-20°C Methanol) fixed HEK-293 cells using STIM1 antibody (81156-1-RR, Clone: 1B13 ) at dilution of 1:1000 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 81156-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 81156-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 81156-1-RR against Human STIM1 were performed. The affinity constant is 0.844 nM.

Hintergrundinformationen

STIM1, also named as GOK, is an ER Ca2+ sensor. Upon Ca2+ store depletion, STIM1 clusters at ER-plasma membrane junctions where it interacts with and gates Ca2+-permeable Orai1 ion channels. STIM1 is implicated in tumor growth suppression and stromal-haematopoietic cell interactions. Defacts in STIM1 gene can cause immune dysfunction with impaired T-cell activation. STIM1 can inhibit L-type voltage-gated Ca(2+) channels in neurons. Temperature is an important regulator of STIM1 function.
