  WB analysis using 68067-1-Ig (same clone as 68067-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 68067-1-Ig (UBA3 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and reblotted with HRP-conjugated GAPDH Monoclonal antibody (HRP-60004) as loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68067-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  WB analysis of HEK-293 using 68067-1-Ig (same clone as 68067-1-PBS)

  WB result of UBA3 antibody (68067-1-Ig; 1:2000; incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours) with sh-Control and sh-UBA3 transfected HEK-293 cells. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68067-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E1 ubiquitin-activating enzyme family. The encoded enzyme associates with AppBp1, an amyloid beta precursor protein binding protein, to form a heterodimer, and then the enzyme complex activates NEDD8, a ubiquitin-like protein, which regulates cell division, signaling and embryogenesis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
