  WB analysis using 26201-1-AP

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 26201-1-AP (Unc119b antibody) at dilution of 1:3000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

Hintergrundinformationen

Mouse Unc119b is related closely to Unc119, a homolog of C. elegans unc119 protein which was first discovered in C. elegans on the basis of a spontaneous mutation affecting locomotion, feeding behavior and chemosensation. Mouse Unc119b shares 90% sequence identity with human UNC119b protein. UNC119b is a myristoyl-binding protein that acts as a cargo adapter: specifically binds the myristoyl moiety of a subset of N-terminally myristoylated proteins and is required for their localization. Myristoyl-binding activity of UNC119b is required to localize NPHP3 to the primary cilium (PMID: 22085962).

Great results by Western blot, with band of right size that disappears in CRISPR KO clones. In attached image, lanes 1-5 are HEK293T clones (three of them UNC119B-KO) and lanes 6-11 are hTERT-RPE1 clones (all containing the protein).
