  WB analysis of A431 using 13073-1-AP (same clone as 13073-1-PBS)

  A431 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 13073-1-AP (15 Lipoxygenase 2 antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 13073-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  WB analysis of HEK-293 using 13073-1-AP (same clone as 13073-1-PBS)

  HEK-293 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 13073-1-AP (15 Lipoxygenase 2 antibody) at dilution of 1:600 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 13073-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Informations générales

In humans, there are 6 functional lipoxygenases genes. Two of them encode for arachidonic acid 12-lipoxygenating (ALOX12, ALOX12B) and two for 15-lipoxygenating enzymes (ALOX15, ALOX15B). ALOX15B has been described as the most abundant 15-lipoxygenating enzyme species in human carotid atherosclerotic lesions and to be associated with cerebrovascular symptoms. (PMID:24373925). ALOX15B has 4 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the MW of 76, 67, 69 and 73 kDa. 13073-1-AP can also recognize the mouse Alox8 protein.
