MSR1 is highly expressed in lung, arteries, and adipose tissue.MSR1 is predominantly expressed in various macrophage cell types and is mainly altered in macrophage-associated physiological and pathological processes including atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, host defence, and cancer.
