Informations générales

COG5 (Component Of Oligomeric Golgi Complex 5) is part of an eight-subunit Golgi-resident protein referred to as the conserved oligomeric golgi (COG) complex, which facilitates retrograde Golgi trafficking of vesicles that may include necessary glycosylation enzymes (PMID: 33277529). COG5 knockdown led to marked increases indicative of aberrant glycosylation (PMID: 25331899). The 92- and 87-kDa polypeptides could also be alternatively spliced isoforms of GTC-90 (PMID: 9792665)
