Informations générales

FOXP2, Forkhead box protein P2, is associated with speech and language development (PMID: 24765219). FOXP2 is expressed in the brain, lungs, heart and gut. In the brain, it is widely expressed in sensory, limbic and motor structures(PMID: 10880297, PMID:15685218). Mutations in FOXP2 caused the severe speech and language disorder developmental verbal dyspraxia (PMID: 15877281). FOXP2 was detected 2 isoforms of 70 kDa and 80-82 kDa (PMID: 15056696, PMID: 29360038, PMID: 17999357).
