  WB analysis of L02 using 21128-1-AP (same clone as 21128-1-PBS)

  L02 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 21128-1-AP (HPSE2 antibody) at dilution of 1:300 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 21128-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Informations générales

HPSE2 (heparanase 2) is a homolog of HPSE (heparanase 1). HPSE is an endo-β-glucuronidase that cleaves heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs), which are important components of the extracellular matrix and basement membranes. HPSE2, however, lacks intrinsic heparan sulfate-degrading activity. Instead, it binds to heparan sulfate with higher affinity than HPSE, thereby competing with HPSE for heparan sulfate binding and inhibiting HPSE's enzymatic activity. This competitive inhibition makes HPSE2 a crucial regulator of heparan sulfate metabolism.
