  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 31833-1-AP (IK antibody) at dilution of 1:15000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 31833-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Informations générales

IK, also known as the nuclear protein RED, is a down-regulator of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) II and interacts with the human SAC protein MAD1, which is required for the localization of the kinetochore of MAD1, for the progression of mitosis and for the activation of the SAC. IK is therefore an important protein for the correct progression of mitosis through the regulation of mitotic kinases and phosphatases. In addition, IK may be involved in pre-mRNA splicing, which may be a useful biomarker for new nuclear structures in cells.
