  FC experiment of human peripheral blood leukocyte using 98338-1-RR

  1x10^6 human peripheral blood leukocytes were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human IL-5RA/CD125 Rabbit RecAb (98338-1-RR, Clone:242234C8) or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG Isotype Control RecAb (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9), and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were then stained with CoraLite® Plus 647 Anti-Human Siglec-8 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (CL647-98177, Clone: 241275A5). CD11b+ cells were pre-gated for analysis. Cells were not fixed.

Informations générales

Interleukin-5 receptor subunit alpha (IL-5RA), also known as CD125, is a type I transmembrane protein that belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. IL-5RA is a critical component of the high-affinity IL-5 receptor complex, IL-5R, which consists of the alpha chain (IL-5RA) that specifically binds to IL-5 and the common beta chain (CD131) shared with receptors for IL-3 and GM-CSF (PMID: 1833065; 7872157). IL-5/IL-5RA signaling axis is crucial for the differentiation, proliferation, recruitment, and activation of eosinophils, and is also involved in pathological eosinophilia (PMID: 34638583).
