  FC experiment of human whole blood using 65243-1-Ig

  Human whole blood was treated with ACK lysis buffer then 1x10^6 cells were surface stained with 0.2 ug Mouse IgM Isotype Control (MOPC-104E) (65243-1-Ig) and CoraLite®647-conjugated AffiniPure F(ab')2 Fragment Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) (SA00014-8) (red), or CoraLite®647-conjugated AffiniPure F(ab')2 Fragment Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) (SA00014-8) alone (black dashed), or unstained (blue). Cells were not fixed. Lymphocytes were gated.

  100ul human platelet-rich plasma (diluted 1:2 in PBS) was surface stained with 0.2 ug Mouse IgM Isotype Control (65243-1-Ig, Clone: MOPC-104E) (red) or Anti-Human CD36 (65248-1-Ig) (green) or unstained (blue) and CoraLite®647-conjugated F(ab')2 Fragment Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) (SA00014-8). Cells were not fixed.

The MOPC-104E immunoglobulin is useful as an isotype-matched control for mouse IgM antibodies. B1355S dextran, nigerosyl-alpha (1-3)-nigerose, and nigerosyl-alpha (1-3)-glucose have abilities to bind to MOPC 104E immunoglobulin (PMID: 6165777). This antibody has been quality-tested for flow cytometry as negative control.
