  1x10^6 HEK-293 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug KAT2A/GCN5 Recombinant antibody (84669-2-RR, Clone:242113C7) and CoraLite®488-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2)(red), or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG Isotype Control RecAb (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9) (blue). Cells were fixed and permeabilized with Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Kit (PF00011).

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 84669-2-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 84669-2-RR against Human KAT2A/GCN5 were performed. The affinity constant is 0.252 nM.

GCN5, encoded by KAT2A, is a member of nuclear A-type histone acetyltransferase (HAT) which has direct impact on gene transcription. Additionally, GCN5 has roles in cell cycle regulation, DNA replication, and DNA repair, highlighting it as key player in the maintenance of genome stability. GCN5 is a coactivator of c-MYC oncogene protein and has oncogenic roles in various cancers.
