  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 86696-1-RR (KCNIP2 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 86696-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  The mean KCNIP2 concentration was determined to be 62.92 ng/mL in mouse brain extract based on a 7.00 mg/mL extract load and 47.26 ng/mL in rat brain extract based on a 8.20 mg/mL extract load.

Informations générales

KCNIP2 is a member of the family of voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channel-interacting proteins (KCNIPs), which belongs to the recoverin branch of the EF-hand superfamily. Members of the KCNIP family are small calcium binding proteins. They all have EF-hand-like domains, and differ from each other in the N-terminus. They are integral subunit components of native Kv4 channel complexes. They may regulate A-type currents, and hence neuronal excitability, in response to changes in intracellular calcium. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified from this gene.
