  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 86541-2-RR (KIAA1598 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 86541-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Informations générales

Shootin 1, also known as SHTN1, KIAA1598, contains 3 coiled-coil domains and a proline-rich region. Shootin 1 is involved in generating internal asymmetric signals required for neuronal during stages 2 and 3. Shootin 1 plays a role in cytoskeletal organization by regulating the subcellular localization of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) activity at the axonal growth cone. SHTN1 produces 2 splice variants, a short variant, SHTN1S, that lacks exons 15 and 16, and a long variant, SHTN1L, that includes exons 1 through 17(PMID: 17030985, 30733148).
