  WB analysis using 60467-1-Ig (same clone as 60467-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 60467-1-Ig (MED18 antibody) at dilution of 1:2000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 60467-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Informations générales

MED18, also named as Mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 18, is a 208 amino acid protein, which belongs to the Mediator complex subunit 18 family. MED18 is a component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. MED18 as a mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. MED18 is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors.
