Informations générales

NBAS, also known as neuroblastoma amplified (NAG) gene, was identified as a gene that is co-amplified with the N-myc (MYCN) gene in neuroblastoma cell lines. NBAS is a factor of the nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD), which is a highly conserved surveillance pathway that allows the organism to respond to cellular and environmental stress.(PMID: 23828042)
