Informations générales
NKX3-1, also named as NKX3.1 and NKX3A, belongs to the NK-3 homeobox family. It is a transcription factor, which binds preferentially the consensus sequence 5'-TAAGT[AG]-3' and can behave as a transcriptional repressor. NKX3-1 plays an important role in normal prostate development, regulating proliferation of glandular epithelium and in the formation of ducts in prostate. It act as a tumor suppressor controlling prostate carcinogenesis, as shown by the ability to inhibit proliferation and invasion activities of PC-3 prostate cancer cells(PMID:19462257). The calcualted molecular weight of NKX3-1 is 26 kDa, but modified NKX3-1 is about 32-35 kDa. (PMID: 18597829)

FH Parmveer (Verified Customer) (08-28-2019) | Worked well for both immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. FFPE prostate tissue used, primary applied for 1 hour at room temperature. There is a bit of background that is hard to avoid, but luminal prostate nuclei are clearly marked.
