  WB analysis of human testis using 13069-1-AP (same clone as 13069-1-PBS)

  human testis tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 13069-1-AP (NKX3-1 antibody) at dilution of 1:500 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 13069-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Informations générales

NKX3-1, also named as NKX3.1 and NKX3A, belongs to the NK-3 homeobox family. It is a transcription factor, which binds preferentially the consensus sequence 5'-TAAGT[AG]-3' and can behave as a transcriptional repressor. NKX3-1 plays an important role in normal prostate development, regulating proliferation of glandular epithelium and in the formation of ducts in prostate. It act as a tumor suppressor controlling prostate carcinogenesis, as shown by the ability to inhibit proliferation and invasion activities of PC-3 prostate cancer cells(PMID:19462257). The calcualted molecular weight of NKX3-1 is 26 kDa, but modified NKX3-1 is about 32-35 kDa. (PMID: 18597829)
