TEKTIP1, a functionally unknown protein, is proposed to be localized at the center of the tektin bundle. Tektip1-knockout mice were male subfertile due to a disruption in sperm motility. The waveform of sperm flagella and ultrastructure of axonemes were moderately altered after the loss of TEKTIP1 (38448737).
