  WB analysis using 26781-1-AP (same clone as 26781-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 26781-1-AP (VGF antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 26781-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Informations générales

VGF encodes a neuropeptide precursor with specific expression in a subpopulation of neuroendocrine cells, and it is upregulated by nerve growth factor. The expression of VGF is developmentally regulated in different areas of the brain (PubMed: 18406753). Exercise upregulated expression of VGF in mouse hippocampus, and a synthetic Vgf-derived peptide produced an antidepressant response in mice (PubMed: 18059283). VGF can be detected the precursor form of 90-100 kDa before proteolytic cleavage (PMID:24934694, PMID:10433233).
