The Technical Specialist position is based at the European HQ in Manchester. Key to succeeding in this role involves engaging with the research community through high-level technical support and delivering the best experience possible to Proteintech customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Technical Specialist is responsible for scientific and application support for the entire Proteintech product portfolio in EMEAI. Their duties include:

  • Act as the first line of technical support for customers, distributors and internal teams. Co-ordinate support resources for all incoming technical issues.

  • Partner with operations and sales team to provide a high standard of pre and post sales experience to Proteintech customers.

  • Provide relevant product and market feedback to R&D and product teams.

  • Liaise with internal scientific and quality teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions where necessary.

  • Deliver technical training to internal teams and in-person seminars to external customers.

  • Manage new and ongoing case workload using Salesforce CRM platform.

  • Draft documentation and maintain CRM knowledge base to assist other departments with product queries.

  • Work with internal and external teams to establish H&S and SOP procedures for on-site product demonstrations.

  • Manage on-site training sessions at the Proteintech demonstration laboratory in Manchester.

 

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Must possess a life-science PhD with at least 3 years of laboratory experience.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a relevant technical support position would be desirable but this is not essential.

  • Must possess excellent knowledge of antibody assays and techniques, including at least 3 from the following: Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation, ELISA

  • Must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken.

  • Independent, driven and able to work on own initiative with minimal direction.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

 

Additional Requirements

 

  • Must be able to travel on a regular basis throughout the UK and Europe (Approx 25%).

  • German or French language skills would be an advantage.
