  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed HeLa cells using CoraLite® Plus 488 ABCD1 antibody (CL488-83038-4, Clone: 230226E12 ) at dilution of 1:200, CL594-phalloidin (red).

  FC experiment of HeLa using CL488-83038-4

  1x10^6 HeLa cells were intracellularly stained with 0.8 ug Coralite® Plus 488 Abcd1 Recombinant Antibody (CL488-83038-4, Clone:230226E12)(red), or 0.8 ug CoraLite® Plus 488-conjugated Rabbit IgG control Rabbit PolyAb (CL488-30000) (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C).

ABCD1 (also known as ALDP) is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily which functions as transporter for a wide variety of substrates. It localizes to the peroxisomal membrane. The exact function is not clear so far. Various mutations of ABCD1 cause X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD), an inherited neurodegenerative disease affecting the nervous system white matter and adrenal cortex.
