  WB analysis of rat kidney using 10864-2-AP

  rat kidney tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 10864-2-AP (GM2A antibody) at dilution of 1:500 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

  1X10^6 HEK-293 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.4 ug Anti-Human GM2A (10864-2-AP) and CoraLite®488-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) at dilution 1:1000 (red), or 0.4 ug Isotype Control. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C).

Hintergrundinformationen

GM2A, also named as GM2-AP and SAP-3, is the large binding pocket which can accommodate several single chain phospholipids and fatty acids. GM2A also exhibits some calcium-independent phospholipase activity. It plays a key role in the degradation of ganglioside GM2 (GM2). GM2A stimulates only the breakdown of ganglioside GM2 and glycolipid GA2 by beta-hexosaminidase A.
