  FC experiment of mouse peritoneal macrophages using 98179-1-RR

  1x10^6 untreated or LPS and Brefeldin A treated mouse peritoneal macrophages were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Mouse IL-1 beta Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (98179-1-RR, Clone: 241364B3) and PE-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG. Cells were co-stained with APC anti-Mouse CD11b. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C).

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 98179-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98179-1-RR against Mouse IL-1 beta/IL-1F2 were performed. The affinity constant is 32.5 pM.

Hintergrundinformationen

Interleukin-1 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine with multiple biological effects. The IL-1 gene family encodes three proteins: IL-1α, IL-1β and their naturally occurring inhibitor Il-1RN. Interleukin 1β(IL-1β), mainly produced by blood monocytes and tissue macrophages, has been implicated in mediating both acute and chronic inflammation. IL-1β is known to be involved in a variety of cellular activities, including cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. IL-1β is emerging as a key mediator of carcinogenesis that characterizes host-environment interactions (PMID: 8630372; PMID: 12401481; PMID: 23704929; PMID: 24618930).
