  IF Staining of HepG2 using CL488-24766

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (-20°C Ethanol) fixed HepG2 cells using CoraLite® Plus 488 INSIG2 antibody (CL488-24766) at dilution of 1:200.

• 

  FC experiment of HepG2 using CL488-24766

  1x10^6 HepG2 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.8 ug Coralite® Plus 488 Insig2 Polyclonal Antibody (CL488-24766)(red), or 0.8 ug CoraLite® Plus 488-conjugated Rabbit IgG control Rabbit PolyAb (CL488-30000) (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C).

INSIG2 mediates feedback control of cholesterol synthesis by controlling SCAP and HMGCR. INSIG2 may bring HMGCR into ubiquitin-mediated proteasomal degradation. Insig2 protein are endoplasmic reticulum proteins that block the processing of sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) by binding to SREBP cleavage-activating protein (SCAP), and thus prevent SCAP from escorting SREBPs to the Golgi. INSIG-2 may play an important role in therapy of hypercholesterolemia.
