  Immunofluorescent analysis of (-20°C Ethanol) fixed HeLa cells using CoraLite® Plus 488 MAT1A antibody (CL488-67408, Clone: 2F1C1 ) at dilution of 1:200, CL594-Phalloidin (red).

  FC experiment of HeLa using CL488-67408

  1x10^6 HeLa cells were intracellularly stained with 0.4 ug CoraLite® Plus 488-conjugated MAT1A Monoclonal antibody (CL488-67408, Clone:2F1C1)(red), or 0.4 ug Isotype Control (CL488-66360-2) (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C).

Methionine adenosyltransferase (MAT) is the enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of S-adeno-sylmethionine (AdoMet), the main donor of methyl groups in the cell. In mammals MAT is encoded by two different genes, MAT1A and MAT2A. MAT1A is expressed only in the mature liver whereas fetal hepatocytes, extrahepatic tissues and liver cancer cells express MAT2A.
