  WB analysis using CL750-82963

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with CL750-82963 (NAGS antibody) at dilution of 1:800 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

• 

  FC experiment of HepG2 using CL750-82963

  1x10^6 HepG2 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.4 ug CoraLite® Plus 750-conjugated NAGS Recombinant antibody (CL750-82963, Clone:230279D3)(red), or 0.4 ug Isotype Control (CL750-30000) (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C).

N-acetylglutamate synthase, also known as NAGS, is a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the formation of N-acetylglutamate (NAG) from glutamate and acetyl coenzyme-A. NAGS is the key enzyme for regulating the hepatic urea cycle and is also highly expressed in the kidney and gut. Deficiency of NAGS leads to hyperammonemia due to decreased activity of CPSI deprived of its cofactor NAG(PMID:12459178,12754705).
