  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 16970-1-AP (NVL antibody) at dilution of 1:3000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

NVL(nuclear VCP-like) belongs to the AAA ATPase family and may facilitate the dissociation and recycling of nucleolin, thereby promoting efficient ribosome biogenesis. It acts as an ATP-dependent zinc metallopeptidase. This protein has 5 isoforms produced by alternative splicing.

This antibody works okay. There are a few nonspecific bands, but I could tell which is the target band because I performed nuclear cytosolic fractionation. NVL is supposed to be in both nucleus and cytosol to shuttle ribosomes.
