Product Information

KE00684 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human JAM-A/CD321 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human JAM-A/CD321. The assay recognizes human JAM-A/CD321. An antibody specific for human JAM-A/CD321 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human JAM-A/CD321 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human JAM-A/CD321 is added to detect the captured human JAM-A/CD321 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information

JAM-A/CD321, also known as Junctional Adhesion Molecule A or F11 receptor (F11R), is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is crucial in various biological processes. JAM-A possesses two extracellular V-type Ig domains, one transmembrane domain, and a short carboxy-terminal intracellular domain. JAM-A has been implicated in the entry of reovirus and feline calicivirus.
