Position Summary:

The successful candidate will support the development and optimization of processes in the bioconjugation of antibodies for use in various applications like cell-based assays, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, FLISA, and IHC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform R&D on the bioconjugation of antibodies and proteins using various fluorescent dyes, affinity labels, modification agents, and enzymes.
  • Validate the conjugated proteins and antibodies in various applications using techniques such as ELISA, FLISA, Flow Cytometry, and IHC.
  • Determine the degree of labelling (DOL) for the antibody or protein conjugates.
  • Organize, record and maintain experimental data and communicate results to colleagues.
  • Ensure proper operation and perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Manufacturing, Quality Control, and packaging of certain developed antibody or protein bioconjugates.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization (Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences).
  • New grads with lab experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Laboratory experience.
  • Preferred: hands on experience with preparing antibody conjugates, cell culture techniques, column chromatography, ELISA, FLISA, or flow cytometry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Aseptic Technique.
  • Good lab practice.
  • Working knowledge of modern laboratory procedures.
  • Must have excellent organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Highly motivated, willingness to acquire new skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work productively and collaboratively within a tight-knit team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, statistical tools etc.
