Product Information

KE10208 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse CD25/IL-2RA ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse CD25/IL-2RA. The assay recognizes mouse CD25/IL-2RA. An antibody specific for mouse CD25/IL-2RA has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse CD25/IL-2RA protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse CD25/IL-2RA is added to detect the captured mouse CD25/IL-2RA protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information

CD25, also known as the α chain of the IL-2 receptor (IL-2Rα), is a key regulator of T cell function. It is expressed in activated T cells and has been implicated in regulating various immune and autoimmune responses. Its deficiency has been associated with autoimmune phenomena including autoimmune enteropathy and bullous pemphigoid. The soluble CD25 can be found in the serum and may have implications for human disease in both cancer and chronic infection.
