The Role

Proteintech is experiencing rapid growth in Europe and is now recruiting for a field-based Account Manager in Munich, Germany. The position to lead the commercial regional growth in South East Germany.

You will report directly to the Commercial Director as part of an excellent team; you will have real responsibility and gain exposure to multiple facets of the business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers to grow long-term and effective business relationships.

  • Proactively search and connect with new prospects.

  • Provide feedback to Marketing and Product development on customer and competitor activities.

  • Actively liaise with institution procurement departments to facilitate ease of purchase.

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets. 

  • Report on sales and business development targets. 

 

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in life science/ biotech sales would be an advantage.

  • Must be educated to Degree or Masters level in a life science discipline. 

  • Independent, driven, and able to work on own initiative. 

  • High level of professional communication skills and the confidence to interact with scientists at all levels. 

  • Prepared to travel extensively up to 80% of the time (predominantly within territory).

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Full German driving license.
