Background
IL-12RB1 (Interleukin-12 receptor subunit beta-1) is a type I transmembrane receptor that can bind to the P40 domain of IL-12/IL-23 and promote their immune response separately. Meanwhile, excess P40 binding to IL-12RB1 reduces the antitumor effect of normal IL-12, resulting in immune evasion of the tumor cells. IL-12RB1 was mainly expressed in epithelial cells and immune cells. IL-12RB1 was tightly associated with PD-1/PD-L1 expression and may have a potential effect on treatments targeting the PD-1/PD-L1 axis.
