  WB analysis using 31432-1-AP (same clone as 31432-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 31432-1-AP (ERMN antibody) at dilution of 1:2500 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 31432-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed paraffin-embedded mouse brain tissue using ERMN antibody (31432-1-AP) at dilution of 1:200 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 31432-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

ERMN is associated with cytoskeletal rearrangements and the stability of myelin sheath. A study has shown that ERMN is expressed specifically in oligodendrocytes in the central nervous system (CNS), and is involved in the formation of myelin (PMID: 20934411). The predicted MW of ERMN is 33 KDa, while western blot analyses detected a 45-50 kDa single band protein as a result of phosphorylation modification.
