  SGC-7901 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 30080-1-AP (FUCA2 antibody) at dilution of 1:2000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 30080-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse liver tissue slide using 30080-1-AP (FUCA2 antibody) at dilution of 1:500 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 30080-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (-20°C Ethanol) fixed HepG2 cells using FUCA2 antibody (30080-1-AP) at dilution of 1:400 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2), CL594-phalloidin (red). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 30080-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Alpha-L-fucosidase 2 (FUCA2) is a gene that codes for a secreted non-lysosomal enzyme and belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 29 (GH29) family. The enzyme is responsible for the removal of the alpha-1,6-fucose linked to N-acetylglucosamine residue of glycoproteins. Serum FUCA2 is a potential biomarker used for early detection of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). FUCA2 has 2 isoforms with the molecular mass of 20 and 54 kDa (PMID: 34935631). Sometimes higher molecular weight around 60 kDa can also be observed, which may be a modified variant of FUCA2.
