Background
Kallikrein 10 (KLK10) is a member of the human tissue kallikrein family of secreted serine proteases. Kallikrein 10 was first identified through subtractive hybridization between normal and radiation-transformed mammary epithelial cells. Kallikrein 10 is expressed in the glandular epithelium and is found in multiple organs, including the kidneys, gastrointestinal tract, peripheral nerves, and specific neuroendocrine organs. Kallikrein 10 has primarily been investigated in the context of breast cancer.
