Background Information
Kallikrein 6 (KLK6, also known as kallikrein-6 or neurosin) is a member of the serine protease kallikrein family. It is mainly expressed in the nervous system, peripheral immune tissues and various epithelial cells. Its activity is finely regulated by serine protease inhibitors (such as serine protease inhibitor protein and benzoamidine) and various glycosaminoglycans (chondroitin sulfate, heparin, etc.).
