Product Information
KE00946 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human/mouse Ezrin ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human/mouse Ezrin. The assay recognizes human/mouse Ezrin. An antibody specific for human/mouse Ezrin has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human/mouse Ezrin protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human/mouse Ezrin is added to detect the captured human/mouse Ezrin protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
Ezrin is a member of the ERM (Ezrin, Radixin, Moesin) protein family and serves as a crucial linker between the cell membrane and the actin cytoskeleton. It regulates cell morphology and movement by binding to transmembrane proteins (such as CD44 and EGFR) and actin filaments. Ezrin plays significant roles in various cellular processes, including maintaining cell morphology, facilitating cell movement and adhesion, regulating signal transduction, and influencing apoptosis.
