Background
OX40L (OX40 Ligand) is a crucial protein in the immune system that plays a pivotal role in activating and regulating T cells. It belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily and is also known as TNFSF4, gp34, or CD252. It is primarily expressed on the surface of antigen-presenting cells (APCs), such as activated B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages. It is also found on non-immune cells like vascular endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells.
