Position Summary:
Proteintech is looking for a talented and passionate Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in consistently developing and scouting new partnerships in the US. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Actively find new leads, maintaining a strong focus on identifying, initiating, and nurturing potential clients
- Client Meetings: Conduct virtual and in-person customer meetings to understand their needs and communicate our unique value proposition
- Pipeline Management: Own the process from lead generation through to completion, ensuring an exceptional client experience by working collaboratively with internal resources
- Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain senior-level relationships with customers, partners, and key opinion leaders
- Deal Execution & Negotiation: Lead end-to-end deal processes from initial outreach through negotiation
- Conference Attendance: Represent the company at conferences, partner meetings, and industry events
- Contract Management: Organize and review applicable agreements pertaining to partnership
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Minimum 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within biotech, pharma, diagnostics, or life science tools
- Years of experience refer to typical years of related experience needed to gain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Years of experience are not to be used as the only determining factor in establishing the job class or making employment selection decisions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Business development, sales and/or product management background with concentration in biotech and pharma accounts
- Proven track record of developing mid- and high- level business contacts
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to manage and collaborate with customer and internal teams (Operations, Finance, R&D and Marketing)
- Reporting and forecasting to maintain accurate opportunity tracking, pipeline management and forecasting
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, managing the sales process through close, and handling all aspects of contract negotiations
- Work is performed in field, daily contact with customers required
- Occasional trips to HQ with occasional travel outside region both domestic and international

- $120,000– $160,000 /year
- This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentive
