Background Information

Neurotrimin (NTM) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored neural cell adhesion molecule. Neurotrimin together with the limbic system-associated protein (LAMP) and the opioid binding cell adhesion molecule (OBCAM) comprise the IgLON family of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Neurotrimin may be promoting neurite outgrowth and adhesion via a homophilic mechanism.
