Background Information
Peptidylprolyl isomerase (cyclophilin)-like 2 (PPIL2), also known as Cyclophilin-like protein Cyp-60, is a U-box-type E3 ubiquitin ligase belonging to the cyclophilin family. PPIL2 is also a target of the JAK2/STAT5 pathway and upregulated in patients with MPNs (PMID: 36092721, 25992900). PPIL2 is a large ~60 kDa (520 amino acids) protein that has a central cyclophilin-like domain and also has an N-terminal U-box domain that exhibits E3 ligase activity. Western detected PPIL2 at an apparent molecular mass of 60~70 kDa (PMID: 40338661, 29352246).
