Background Information

ZRANB1 is an 81-kDa deubiquitinating enzyme with an Npl14 zinc finger (NZF) domain at the N-terminus and an ovarian tumor (OTU) domain at the C-terminus. ZRANB1 specifically cleaves K29-, K33-, and K63-linked ubiquitin chains, but a mutation of amino acid 443 from cysteine to serine ablates enzymatic activity . (PMID: 36087511, PMID: 34765294)
