Multiplex Immunofluorescence (mIF): How to Image the Rainbow

How to Image Multiple Targets on One Tissue Section

Multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) allows you to detect multiple antigens on a single tissue section, making it a powerful approach for studying complex spatial biology. In this video, we explain the basics of multiplex IF workflows, how to choose dyes, antibodies, and supporting reagents, and how to overcome common challenges such as staining with antibodies from the same species. We also share practical tips for improving multiplex image quality and troubleshooting common workflow obstacles.

Workshop led by Derek Sung, MD/PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine
