• 

  WB analysis of HeLa using 83488-4-RR (same clone as 83488-4-PBS)

  HeLa cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 83488-4-RR (FAM38B antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83488-4-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  FC experiment of A431 using 83488-4-RR (same clone as 83488-4-PBS)

  1x10^6 A431 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Fam38b Recombinant Antibody (83488-4-RR, Clone:240406E5) and APC-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L)(red), or 0.25 ug Isotype Control (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83488-4-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

FAM38B, also named as PIEZO2, is a mechanosensitive, rapidly inactivating (RI) ion channel which is open and converts the mechanical stimulus signals into bioelectrical signals after stimulated by mechanical signals. FAM38B has been recently identified in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons to mediate tactile transduction. It plays an important role in the biological process, maintaining cell metabolism and cell migration. Loss-of-function mutations in the human FAM38B gene cause an autosomal recessive syndrome of muscular atrophy with perinatal respiratory distress, arthrogryposis, and scoliosis.The 80 kDa band detected by SDS-PAGE can be caused by alternative splicing (PMID: 34335288, 37227654).
