  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 19493-1-AP (VLDLR antibody) at dilution of 1:4000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 19493-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human lung cancer tissue slide using 19493-1-AP (VLDLR antibody) at dilution of 1:200 (under 10x lens). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 19493-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

VLDLR binds VLDL and transports it into cells by endocytosis. In order to be internalized, the receptor-ligand complexes must first cluster into clathrin-coated pits. VLDLR binding to Reelin induces tyrosine phosphorylation of Dab1 and modulation of Tau phosphorylation (cytoplasmic domain of low-density lipoprotein receptor). For glycosylated, the MW of VLDLR migrates to ~160kd.
