Background Information
FBP17 (formin-binding protein 17) is a new dynamin-associating molecule consisting of several functional domains, including an N-terminal EFC domain and an SH3 domain at the C-terminus. FBP17 is involved in dynamin-mediated endocytosis and has been reported to be required for invadopodia formation and tumor cell invasion.

Reviews
What customers say
Users report the antibody performs well for Western blot at 1:1000 dilution, detecting FBP17 at the expected ~80 kDa in iPSCs and iNeurons. One user noted a strong non-specific band at 70 kDa across all samples, including mouse neurons where no specific signal was detected. For immunofluorescence, one reviewer observed persistent background despite multiple detergent washes. Overall, the antibody is considered reliable for WB but may require optimization to reduce non-specific binding in some applications.
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
Cicek (Verified Customer) (06-11-2024) | I tested the antibody on mouse neurons, iPSCs and 3-weeks-old iNeurons with Western blotting using beta-actin as positive control. There were bands at the 80 kDa mark showing FBP17 for iPSC and iNeurons, but not mouse neurons. All samples showed a strong unspecific band at 70 kDa mark.

María (Verified Customer) (02-08-2022) | Works fine for WB (1:1000), for IF some background, even after several washes with detergent
